Senior Golang Developer (Remote, Part-time)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design, develop, and maintain core backend services using Golang.
• Build scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance microservices for ride-hailing, payments, dispatching, and geolocation.
• Collaborate with product managers, mobile engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver features end-to-end.
• Implement real-time data processing, caching strategies, and message queues for low-latency services.
• Ensure code quality with proper testing, monitoring, and CI/CD integration.
• Optimize APIs and database queries for high throughput and low latency.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement robust solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest Golang ecosystem, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture trends.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• At least 5 years of experience in building production-grade services with Golang.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and REST/gRPC APIs.
• Experience with databases (both SQL and NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Hands-on experience with message brokers/queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimization in Golang.
• Experience deploying and running services on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience in real-time systems (e.g., ride-matching, delivery, streaming).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with geospatial databases and location-based algorithms (PostGIS, geohash)
• Familiarity with distributed system design patterns (event-driven, CQRS, eventual consistency).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, real-time environment.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Java is a plus
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
• Previous experience in FinTech, Mobility, or Logistics platforms.
