JOB DESCRIPTION
- Design software architecture and lead technical initiatives for lending platform solutions
- Actively code and deliver features (70% hands-on development)
- Research new technologies and drive innovation across the organization (30%)
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to development team members
- Collaborate directly with US-based Product Owners and engineering leadership
- Drive migration from monolithic systems to microservices/event-driven architecture
- Establish and maintain SDLC standards and best practices
- Participate in daily standups, weekly demos, and design sessions with US team
- Proactively identify risks and communicate project status to stakeholders
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE
- At least 4 years of experience in software development, specializing in C# and .NET technologies.
- Strong expertise in ASP.NET Core, .NET 6/8+, Web API, and Microservices / Event-Driven architecture.
- Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or SQL Server), EF Core, and performance-optimized data access.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), including serverless services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
- Hands-on experience working on software products or systems in financial domains, such as banking, payments, lending, wealth management, accounting, or similar areas.
- Good understanding of data integrity in transactional systems: database transactions, idempotency, retry handling, and correct handling of monetary/decimal values.
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing, and familiarity with TDD.
- Ability to work from detailed technical specifications and contribute to technical design and estimation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong ownership and accountability.
- Fluent English communication, able to work directly with US or Australian based teams.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with messaging and orchestration services (e.g., SQS/SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions, RabbitMQ, Service Bus).
- Exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, CosmosDB, MongoDB) and caching strategies.
- Experience building rule engines, workflow engines, or configuration-driven / metadata-driven systems.
- Familiarity with event sourcing, CQRS, audit trails, or batch processing of large datasets.
- Experience integrating third-party financial APIs or data providers.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular), including data grids and charting libraries.
- Understanding of DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform), containers, and system observability (logging, monitoring, tracing).
- Awareness of security best practices for sensitive data and authentication/authorization standards (JWT, OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
