JOB DESCRIPTION
- Design and model 3D characters, creatures, and props from concept art or design briefs.
- Sculpt detailed high-poly models and create optimized low-poly assets for production.
- Develop UV maps, textures, and materials (realistic or stylized, depending on project needs).
- Rig and skin characters for animation, ensuring natural movement and deformation.
- Create character animations (idle, movement, facial, cinematic sequences, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Art Director, Animators, and Technical Artists to maintain artistic style and technical quality.
- Integrate assets into production pipelines (film, animation, advertising, or interactive media).
- Stay up to date with industry tools and techniques to improve quality and workflow efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE
- Degree in Art, Animation, Game Design, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a 3D Character Artist/Animator.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, proportions, movement, and character design principles.
- Proficiency in:
- Maya / Blender / 3ds Max (modeling, rigging, animation).
- ZBrush (sculpting).
- Substance Painter / Photoshop (texturing).
- (Bonus) Motion capture workflow integration.
- Experience in rigging, skinning, and creating expressive character animations.
- Strong portfolio/demo reel showcasing 3D character models and animations.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in cinematic animation or VFX production.
- Ability to work across multiple art styles (realistic, stylized).
- Understanding of facial rigging and lip-sync animation.
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine / Unity for real-time rendering.
